The Grand Prairie Police Department Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association is actively involved in supporting numerous programs of the Grand Prairie Police Department.  Below are a few of the projects and programs from the past few years:

• Financial donation, assistance in planning and executing the Annual GPPD Police Banquet.

• Funding the GPPD's Senior Lock Box Program.

• Financial support to Shattered Dreams Project.

• Financial and member support for GPPD's Cops and Kids Fishing.

• Annual reception for the spouses and significant others of the Police Officers.

• Community booth at Asia Time Square for Lunar New Year Celebration.

• Financial and member support for GPPD's Annual Car Show.

• Donating cots to GPPD's Communications Department for use during extended shifts.

• Donating jumper kits and traffic safety vests to GPPD's Citizens On Patrol.

• Ongoing refreshments for Officers and Civilian Staff.

• Weekly refreshments for Citizen Police Academy classes.

• Community booths at GP Park & Rec's Marty Party and Crawfish Boil.

• Annual Garage Sale Fundraiser with support from Trader's Village and GPPD Explorers Post #086.

• Membership and financial support for the Citizen Police Academy Alumni of North Texas.
